Image Tags

Advertising Online

When you add any images to your websites then the following html code is generated

<img src=”cafeteria.jpg” height=”200” width=”200” alt=”UAHC campers enjoy a meal in the camp cafeteria”>

Each image on your website contains a unique Alt Tag. The keywords should describe the image perfectly but you should use specific keywords. For search engine point of you, keywords in Alt Tag are very important. They should describe the image perfectly. If the image is of a 35 year old female doctor holding a stethoscope, then I would use the keyword phrase “35 year old female doctor holding stethoscope” in the image’s Alt Tag. If you use multiple images on your web site, make sure that if the image is a different image then it will need a unique image Alt Tag.

 Search Engine are giving more value to Alt tags rather than Title tag and H1 tag. You make sure you use proper keywords in Title tag and H1 tag but most important you use proper keywords in Alt tags.
