If you want to change background color of header then follow the steps
1) First go to Design
2) Then click on Template Designer
3) After clicking on this Template Designer, you will see following options
5) When u go to the Header Background, there will be different color options so you can select anyone which u like to have for your blog.
6) Finally click on Apply to Blog
