For crawlers it won’t get confuse because they know ampersand and the word “and” mean the same.so most of the times searches are same for both the words..Example “health and beauty” and “health and beauty” shows slightly different results in search engines but most of the time the searches are the same for both the keywords So you can use but wait…………..I would like to suggest you no for “&”..Now why?? Am I Right????
- The ampersand is a reserved character in HTML used in code for displaying special characters and symbols.so some times W3C validator might give error. It’s not compulsory but yes can be possible.
- Many people don’t search with ampersand character because it takes lot of pain to type so why to put such keyword where people won’t search for it.
IMP Note : Plz don’t use ampersand in domain name also…
