If you see in design there are the options to add page element to the sidebar and footer but there is no option to add page element in header and blog posts. Adding page element to the header is very important to add a picture at the top or Google Adsense ad at the top or bottom of your blog posts.
To have an “Add a Page Element” option click Edit Html and find following lines of code
<div id='header-wrapper'>
<b:section class='header' id='header'
maxwidgets='1' showaddelement='no'>
Change them to this
<div id='header-wrapper'>
<b:section class='header' id='header'
maxwidgets='3' showaddelement='yes'>
This gives you 2 more page elements to add in header
Note:
In different templates, the 'header-wrapper' may be called 'header-wrap' or 'header' and so on. Scroll to where you see an option called showaddelement and you can probably figure out the rest.
In different templates, the 'header-wrapper' may be called 'header-wrap' or 'header' and so on. Scroll to where you see an option called showaddelement and you can probably figure out the rest.
Now For Example in some blogs this may be like this
<b:section class='header' id='header' maxwidgets='1' showaddelement='no'>
<b:widget id='Header1' locked='false' title='SEO Tutorials (Header)' type='Header'/>
</b:section>
So in this you can change maxwidgets='2' showaddelement='yes' because this section class is header
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. It was really helpful. Hoping for more great posts like this.
